This file contains
The Marvell Network Configuration Utility contains the Yukon® network driver
and the Marvell Network Configuration Utility, that allows you to configure teams
and VLANs, as well as to set driver parameters for the Yukon network adapters.
The software package can be installed on a system with one of the following
operating systems:
Windows XP/Server 2003 (32 bit), Windows XP/Server 2003 (64 bit), Windows
Vista/Server 2008 (32 bit), Windows Vista/Server 2008 (64 bit), Windows 7 (32
bit), Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 (64 bit)
To install the software package, the following file is required:
setup.exe
Valid command line parameters for the installer are:
/? to show help
/S for silent installation
/U for uninstallation if the package is installed
(cannot be combined with /S)
Examples:
Silent Installation
setup.exe /S
will silently install the package, any confirmation requested will
automatically be given.
NOTE: To install the software package, you must be logged in
as a user with administrative rights.
To install Marvell Network Configuration Utility, proceed as follows:
1. Execute the file setup.exe.
2. Follow the instructions displayed during the installation procedure.
OR
1. Open a command shell (CMD.EXE).
2. Enter
setup.exe /S for silent installation
NOTE: To uninstall the software package, you must be logged in
as a user with administrative rights.
To uninstall Marvell Network Configuration Utility, proceed as follows:
1. Open "Control Panel".
2. Before Windows Vista (XP/Server 2003):
Choose "Add or Remove Programs"
Select "Marvell Network Configuration Utility" and click the "Change/Remove" button.
Starting with Windows Vista (Vista/Win7):
Choose "Programs | Programs and Features | Uninstall a program"
Double-click "Marvell Network Configuration Utility"
OR
1. Open a command shell (CMD.EXE).
2. Enter
setup.exe /U to invoke uninstallation
- It is not possible to add an adapter port that is already part of a VLAN
to a team. You must remove the VLAN from this adapter port first. It is not
possible to configure the same port to a VLAN and to a team.
- Fast Ethernet adapters cannot be grouped into a team together with Gigabit
Ethernet adapters.
- For basic teaming, IPv6 is not supported.
- Starting with Windows Vista, always both ports of a dual port adapter are added
to the team.
If you should encounter any problems with the installation or uninstallation of
Marvell Network Configuration Utility, send the log file "ykinstutil.log" (can be
found in the Windows directory) to our technical support.
If you should encounter any problems with the Network Configuration Utility,
please re-read the instructions above and the documentation supplied with the
operating system carefully.
If your particular problem is not listed or the error persists, please send your
system event log file (can be found in Windows Event Viewer) or at least the
event ID number and the logging data of the event generated by the Marvell
Network Configuration Utility to our technical support.
