CADdy

1-1: Are there drivers for CADdy 9.0 ?

All drivers for our V7 series boards are written by Ziegler
Instruments. They come with CADdy 9.0. Please contact Ziegler
Instruments for further details related to installation or in
case of trouble.

1-2: Dual-screen configuration - secondary board not
     found after a system reset?

Make sure that, in a dual-screen installation, the environment variable
MSPEAPM refers to the first board with the VGA BIOS active. For PCI,
the board in the first PCI slot must be defined as "left" board.


MicroStation

2-1: You canīt switch to DOS?

After a system reset call the file V7VMODE.

2-2: What function does the parameter "-b" in the example line
     of MSPEAPM have?

This entry exists for historical reasons and can be ignored for 
Diamond boards.

2-3: Error message: "GDCINI.DAT not found"

GDCINI.DAT only exists for Graphiti boards. Diamond boards do not
require GDCINI.DAT. The BigMicro driver searches for GDCINI.DAT
by default if the MSPEAPM environment variable isn't set or is
incorrectly set.

2-4: Right/left screen?

The (system) boot board should be configured as the right screen.

2-5: DOS shell remains blank

A Graphiti board is configured as the right screen controller.
Since the Graphiti boards (with the exception of the FGA boards)
can't display DOS resolution, the DOS shell can't be called.

2-6: Explanation of the parameters used in MSPEAPM?

Consult the manual or Bigmicro.doc file.

2-7: Viper: error message "System Fault: Bad memory access. MDL
     abort in panastn.mc at 303" during MicroStation start?

Insert the following in the first line of AUTOEXEC.BAT:
SET VIPERPATH=C:\VIPER. Run VPRMODE.EXE (version 2.04 or higher).
Delete EMM386.EXE from CONFIG.SYS.
