Hanover/Starnberg, March 19, 1998 - Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq: DIMD) will be well represented in both the multimedia hall (Hall 8) and the traditional CAD hall (Hall 21) at CeBIT ´98 in Hannover. You’ll see "Professional Graphics" in Hall 21 at the Diamond booth D48. Visitors to Hall 8 can see our very latest products and product series plus innovations in Diamond’s traditional areas of activity - Graphics, Multimedia, Audio, I/O, and Connectivity.

Booth D20 in Hall 8 is where Diamond will be presenting a comprehensive product portfolio glistening with new product premieres. Visitors will get a first look at the brand new and extremely popular Monster 3D II add-on board – the most advanced dedicated-3D subsystem available for avid PC gamers looking for the ultimate entertainment experience. They can also enjoy the Monster Live Show with prize drawing. The new PCI Audio Solution with 64 voice wavetable synthesizer is another highlight at the Diamond booth. The SCSI Host Adapter series will be extended by new products as well, while the top communications products will include a 56kbps modem with unique high-class performance and state-of-the-art interoperability that supports both the brand new 56K ITU standard V.90 and K56Flex, and, last but not least, a new 56K PCMCIA modem for mobile communication freaks.

"Professional Graphics" from Diamond Multimedia can be seen at the Diamond booth D48 in Hall 21. The major highlight is our extremely powerful 3D graphics hardware family Fire GL for Windows NT and OpenGL. On display are the Fire GL 1000 Pro for entry level professional graphics and the Fire GL 4000 which breaks down the last barriers to the world of high-power graphics on the workstation. There will be announced price reductions and technical innovations.

Diamonds products and technologies are used by various partners and leading companies at the CeBIT. The Fire GL Series is demonstrated, for example, at the Computer 2000 booth in hall 21. CAD specialist Bentley - the maker of Microstation - is using the Diamond Fire GL 3000 and Fire GL 4000 for their demonstrations. Due to their large market presence, multimedia products from Diamond can be seen at many booths at the CeBIT ´98.
