Diamond’s New Stealth 3D Drivers Slam Dunk the Opposition Diamond Multimedia Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: DIMD) today announced the release of new Windows® 95 and Windows NT® drivers for its award-winning Stealth 3D series of high performance 2D, 3D and video playback accelerators. The enhanced drivers, available for free download, enable significantly faster 2D acceleration, extending Diamond’s outperformance of the competiton. Compared using the Winbench 97 test suite, the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000XL and 3000XL achieved higher WinMark scores than the Matrox Millennium and Mystique accelerators, Number Nine’s Imagine 128 Series 2, and STB’s Velocity 3D accelerators. The Diamond Stealth 3D series with 4MB of memory exhibited dramatic 2D graphics acceleration in both the Business Graphics and High-End Graphics categories, performing nearly 30 per cent faster than the competition.
