Does my Modem support flashing Firmware updates?
To see if your modem supports flash, enter
ati10
in a terminal program and see if you have feature 190.
Example:
ati10
101,115,120,121,123,140,150,151,152,153,157,163,185,190,201,203
OK
If you don't get this number, your 56k modem is not flashable and
your modem may only be upgraded through updating the hardware.
This affects all SupraExpres 56e modems with the product code
SUP2150 and SUP2140 (see answer string for ati92).
In this case, please contact our Service Department. Please use the
Fax number +44-1189-44 44 04 (Hardware Service DIAMOND UK) or +49-8151-266 213 (Hardware
Service DIAMOND Germany, for customers from D, CH and A only). Please include the product
code number (the answer string for ati92) with the fax.

56k modem?
Step 1: Checking Your Modem (SUP Code? -> ati92)
Step 2: Updating the BIOS via Flash Program
Step 3: Setting the Country Code (MSETUP22)
Please proceed as written in the detailed Flash Instruction:
This flash instruction will be created when extracting the BIOS update package.
