Walk six miles to school through a blizzard? Not any more! Distance learning comes to the Corcoran! The Corcoran School of Art is offering credit courses on America Online! The CorcoranŐs popular Certificate in Computer Graphics is now available over the nationŐs fastest growing and Most Popular Online Service! Every week, computer artist and instructor Harry St.Ours will host a live conference for each course, at which some very special guests will appear, including leading computer Artists, Designers, and Authors. The entire AOL community will be welcome to drop in to topics that interest them, and upon successful completion of a course of study, enrolled students will be awarded the Computer Graphics Certificate. Required reading assignments and sample images representative of the week's topic will be emailed the week before every scheduled session to enrolled students, and will be posted in the Corcoran Online area.Students will email assignments to the instructor, who will post the best of the work in a Digital Art Gallery. A final digital portfolio - a hot item these days among digital designers - will be graded at the end of the course. Tuition: US$360 per course. There will be a required text. Students must have access to a color Macintosh and featured software. America Online software is available free from the Corcoran School of Art. Online classes will be held from 7:00-8:00 PM PT, and will run for 8 weeks. Interested?
