This historic structure houses the production of the latest technology and techniques in digital art and design. Bill Niffenegger, CEO of Niffenegger Studios, is an internationally known digital illustrator/ designer, fine artist and author. The Studios produce advertising and editorial illustration, album and CD covers, packaging design, layout and illustration, product promotions, book covers, poster and conceptual designs. He is the author of PHOTOSHOP FILTER FINESSE, a top selling book on over 350 plug-in filters and special effects which can be accomplished with them, which is printed in 4 languages. A new book called KAI'S POWER TOOLS FINESSE, THE OFFICIAL BOOK/ CD-ROM is due to come out in 1996. Mr. Niffenegger works with his wife, Beverly Niffenegger. Her pen name is B.J. Johnson a well known illustrator, designer and children's book author with 15 books published by Simon & Schuster, Scholastic and St. Martins Press. B.J. designs the layout and typography for her husband's computer graphics books. Niffenegger Studios produces editorial and commercial illustrations for clients such as Apple Computer, Pepsi, Dow Brands, ASDA, Random House, New Media, software and hardware companies and numerous publications, including the 2nd edition of THE PHOTOSHOP HANDBOOK, ILLUSTRATOR FILTER FINESSE cover and the new PHOTOSHOP HANDBOOK 3.0 cover. The firm is responsible for the entire new package line-design for HSC Software, producing over 70 new print pieces, including brochures, registration cards, CD covers, package design, layout and images. Mr. Niffenegger is the winner of the 1994 Microtek Grand Prize for design and the APEX winner for Magazine Covers for the last two years. He has demonstrated his complex computer imaging techniques around the United States Center for Creative Imaging, Scitex Color Centers, United Digital Artists, Apple Computer and the American Film Institute.
