Click the Browse button and set directory path, file name, and file type for your record. Select 'All Files' in the 'File Type' window if you don't want to record your movie as 'AVI File' (*.avi), but in another file format.
Tick the Append 2-digit sequence number at filename checkbox if you want a 2-digit sequence number automatically added to the filename. This will allow recording of several movies - that are associated to the same topic - with the same filename and end up with a series of records named, for example, BIRDS-01, BIRDS-02, ..., BIRDS-99.
Click the Set format button and set the 'Image Dimensions' (width x height in pixels) and 'Image Format' for your record.
- The menu displays the format and size options supported by the capture driver that you are using.
- 'Full' sets the maximum image size that your capture driver
supports.
'½' sets the image size to 50 % of the `Full'
image size.
'¼' sets the image size to 25 % of the `Full'
image size.
- Which capture driver is used in your system depends on the installed graphics card.
Define the image depth (in frames/sec) of your record. The more frames per second you specify, the better is the quality of your record and the more disk space it will use.
Define the duration (in seconds) of your record. The longer the recording time is, the more disk space your record will use.
The indicated record size in MB gives the average size for an
uncompressed, full-size-image record.
Click the Set compression button to check and change the image file compression applied to your record. The menu displays the compression formats that are supported by the capture driver that you are using. Which capture driver is used in your system depends on the installed graphics card.
Note: Changes to the Format settings in the Capture Movie dialog also apply automatically to the Format settings in the Capture Frame dialog and vice versa.
Tick the Capture audio checkbox to add audio capturing to your record. This option is available only if your capture driver supports audio capturing.
Click the Set format button to check and change the audio capture mode of your record. The menu displays the audio capture modes that are supported by the capture driver that you are using. Which capture driver is used in your system depends on the installed graphics card.
Tick the Bring up thumbnail viewer after capture checkbox to open the Thumbnail Viewer menu when your recording session is complete.
